Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core Pre-Launch: Everything We Know

Release date, platforms, classes, weapons, upgrades, enemies, mission structure, and system requirements before Rogue Core Early Access.

Release window and platform

Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core launches in Early Access on May 20, 2026 for PC on Steam. Early Access is planned to last 18–24 months.

The game is a standalone roguelite spin-off, not a sequel that replaces Deep Rock Galactic. The original game continues separately.

The premise

The Grayout disables most technology on contact. Reclaimer dwarves descend into mining facilities that went dark, starting runs with only basic tools and building power by finding gear inside the facility.

Confirmed classes

Five classes are confirmed: Slicer, Falconer, Guardian, Spotter, and Gorgon. In Rogue Core, classes primarily define the signature Gauntlet ability while weapons and most equipment are shared across classes.

Weapons and upgrades

Confirmed Closed Alpha weapons include Mag Blaster (P96), Field Blaster, Devastator Blaster, Laser Revolver, Stubby, Grenade Launcher, GK2, and Plasma Sword.

Returning weapons can roll major modifiers such as magazine-size increases or elemental damage, changing how a weapon feels during a run.

Enemies and missions

Core Spawn are described as more aggressive, resilient, and intelligent than DRG's glyphids. Mission archetypes mentioned by Ghost Ship include Mining Facility Security, Critical Intel Gathering, and Resistance Pacification.

Minimum system requirements

The documented minimum target is Windows 10 64-bit, Intel Core i5 7th gen or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX 970 or AMD Radeon 290, DirectX 11, 9 GB storage, and broadband network.
