Prediction ground rules
Rogue Core classes mostly define your signature Gauntlet ability. Weapons and most equipment are shared, so pre-launch class strength is less about fixed loadouts and more about how useful each Gauntlet role should be during a changing roguelite run.
Early prediction tiers
| Tier | Class | Why |
|---|---|---|
| S | Guardian | Defensive barriers and repulsive force should be valuable whenever a team needs to hold a chokepoint. |
| A | Spotter | Debuffs can multiply teammate damage and make slow projectiles easier to land. |
| A | Falconer | Buzzard drone pressure looks flexible for priority targets and trash cleanup. |
| B | Slicer | Melee burst can be powerful, but documented counters include ranged-heavy waves with no flanking cover. |
| TBA | Gorgon | Area-control identity is confirmed, but final kit details are still pending. |
Why Guardian looks safest
Guardian has the clearest universal value before launch: the Stonewall Repulsor Gauntlet creates a deployable energy barrier, repulsive force push, and directed energy attacks. In a co-op-first roguelite, survivability and team positioning usually age well.
Why Spotter and Falconer are close
Spotter's S.P.O.T.T.E.R. dart pistol weakens and disorients enemies, while Falconer's Buzzard drone shocks, debilitates, and distracts. Both roles should scale well with any weapon roll because they improve the fight around the weapon instead of depending on one exact gun.
Why Slicer may be swingy
Slicer has massive single-target burst through the Supernova Blade, and the seed build pairs it with Devastator Blaster and Plasma Sword. The risk is positioning: ranged-heavy waves without cover are already documented as a counter.
Gorgon remains TBA
Gorgon is confirmed as an area-control class, but the gauntlet name and concrete kit details are not yet documented. It should move quickly once Early Access confirms the kit.
